Objectives of Position:
Responsible for supporting the development of social media strategy and
supporting the revision of the organization’s website. This role will be
instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for
our brand among clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with streamlining social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn, YouTube, CIS Wake website), ensuring uniform content and tone of
voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements. - Increase the number of followers by following and engaging stakeholders.
- Help create one piece of video content per month to post on YouTube.
- Secure content (pictures and narrative) from program locations.
- Track and report website statistics using Google Analytics. Monitor how well
specific content performs and monitor the flow of traffic through to our Web site. - Repurpose content from other sources for our own social media channels (and
understand how to change the tone of the content for each channel)
Qualifications:
- Digital Media proficiency including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
- Be responsible, flexible, hard‐working, ethical, and committed to the mission
- Possess a high level of organizational skills and be detail oriented
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to operate standard office equipment
- Be able to manage multiple tasks
Training and Preparation:
Attend orientation session prior to beginning your internship. Must pass background check and complete volunteer application.
Length of Commitment:
One academic year commitment preferred; minimum six months.
