Overview:
This fixed term, 8-month volunteer position will partner with Black Dollar (e-commerce), Black Friday Market (retail), and The Factory (co-working) leaders to support ongoing business activities focusing on operations, administration, marketing, and community building in an innovative, entrepreneur-focused environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Understand the overall concept of the company, including brand reputation, customer journey, and the missional purpose.
- Serve on-site as lead of daily operations and activities of The Factory, including customer service, tours of the facility, light maintenance, and daily operations checklists.
- Support on-site and virtual events to facilitate new sales and membership-driven activities.
- Meet with direct reports bi-weekly for updates on tasks, goals, and strategy.
- Assist in marketing campaigns; website, social media, and multi-media efforts.
Hours/Schedule:
8-10 weekly (40 hours monthly), broken into two 4-5 hour shifts on-site per week, at The Factory, scheduled with the position supervisor. The Factory is open from 8am-11pm daily.
Compensation/Benefits:

Knowledge/Skills Required:
- An active, full-time (or part-time) Raleigh-based, college student.
- Project planning skills.
- Entry-level knowledge for marketing, business administration, and/or entrepreneurship
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
