OIS in partnership with Leadership and Civic Engagement will be participating in Mystery Service Saturday: International Edition for our February ISSERV project.
ISSERV (International Students & Scholars Engaged in Reaching out & Volunteering) is a program organized by the Office of International Services designed to encourage NC State’s international students, scholars and family members to volunteer in the Raleigh community. By volunteering, internationals interact with Americans and learn more about American culture, while also sharing their own culture.
Mystery Service Saturday is a program in Leadership and Civic Engagement where students are given the chance to explore the social and volunteer opportunities around North Carolina. Students will embark onward to an unknown local service organization and provide their help. Afterward, students will be taken to a fun social activity that explores local North Carolina culture, as well as allows students to interact with those they have served with! Be excited about the element of surprise and the enjoyment of service!
This ISSERV will take place from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM on February 22nd. To those who sign up, there will be an email sent to you requiring an RSVP closer to the day of the event. You MUST respond to this email or your spot will be given away.
