Welcome and thanks for the gift of your time in the interest of peace. The Peace Booth is the most effective use of our time to bring the message of peace to the most people.
The Peace Booth is located in the Education Building, near the corner of Blue Ridge & Hillsborough Streets. If you enter at gate 12, the entrance between Buildings 2 and 3, and turn left into the first door; the Peace Booth will be down the aisle on the right. See you there! Find us!
We will have three petitions this year. Anyone who can read and understand the petitions can sign them, no matter what their age. Each petition has background information stored under the table. You can hand these out if people want more information before or after they sign. Please read the petitions and the background information so you are familiar with their content and can answer questions about them.
The petitions are on clipboards with attached pens. Please keep the signed petitions on the clipboard. This often encourages others to sign. They are removed each day. Extra petitions are stored under the tables.
If people ask for stickers to use with other children groups, please feel free to give them some of the past years stickers. They are located under the table.
There are church statements on peace and other informative literature. Encourage visitors to explore the literature and take what they wish. We have stickers for children.
A Red Volunteer Instruction Book is on the Table. It contains the master sheet of volunteers with phone numbers, additional and more detailed instructions, and blank paper. Please read this book and record any concerns or ideas. Please sign your name and phone number if you make a suggestion.
