Durham Nativity School (DNS) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to support our Homework Help program for 5th–8th grade students, held Monday through Friday from 3:30–4:45 p.m. At DNS, we embrace the challenge of working with young men who may enter a few grade levels behind. Through patience, encouragement, and consistency, our volunteers help students break through emotional barriers, discover what excites them, and build the skills they need to thrive. With your support, these students gain the confidence and preparation to go on to some of the nation’s top private high schools. For over 23 years, DNS has provided a tuition-free, college preparatory middle school education to boys from low-income families in Durham. Volunteers are a key part of that mission—helping us not just with homework, but with building up young men who are resilient, determined, and ready to succeed.
