

Who We Are
Meet the Heroes is an annual interactive Black History Event that lives on through the engagement of parents, educators and creatives throughout the Triangle. Meet the Heroes is meant to inspire youth to learn and be proud of the accomplishments of Black men and women throughout history. Each year a different set of Heroes are portrayed by actors with a dedicated area for activities that children can participate in. Kids find inspiration through the words of the heroes and their own creativity.
What We Do
Meet the Heroes is a kid friendly interactive Black History event in Durham, NC through a collaboration of parents. Each February parents and children are invited to meet Heroes of Black history through actors, activities and crafts. The event is designed like a living museum where you are free to travel and meet the historical figures and participate in a craft or STEM project based on the profession and achievements of each Hero.
