Who We Are

Learning Together was founded in 1969 as a program of innovation, bringing services to the community as a developmental day preschool that included children with developmental disabilities. We preceded the 1975 Federal and State legislation requiring services to children with disabilities and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, both groundbreaking legislation that required inclusive services for children with disabilities.

What We Do

The developmental, educational and health needs of young children - of all abilities - are met at Learning Together, a developmental day preschool center in Southeast Raleigh. Here, classrooms are inclusive. Children who are typically developing AND children with special needs are in the same classroom where they’re able to interact, teach and learn from one another.
